Arson fire rips Sheffield business

The electrical wholesalers of Neepsend Industrial Estate on Parkwood Road were reported on fire around 10 pm on Sunday, February 20.

Six fire crews and an aerial ladder platform were soon deployed at scene. The fire was finally extinguished by firefighters at 6:30 am next morning. Nobody has been hurt in the incident.

Jayne Sanderson, spokeswoman of South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, said: “the fire has been started deliberately.”

She also said the police had taken further investigation to catch the arsonist.

Heavy smoke logged the commercial premises. Parkwood Road has been closed due to the fire and traffic remains blocked till Monday morning.
