Lothian and Borders Police ignored ten emergency calls from a local HK Express in Edinburgh after the restaurant manager and chef being surrounded by 20 racist young gangsters for  90 minustes.

The calls were made by Jing Guo, the restaurant manager, when the gangsters who armed with baseball bats, snooker cues and golf clubs approached and yelled they “wanted blood”.

Mr. Guo said he was told “I am aware of your situation. Don’t call again” by the operator when he dialed his tenth 999 call.

The police finally arrived at scene after 90 minutes.

The racist gangsters targeted the restaurant after one of its delivery driver responded angrily to a gangster who smashed his windscreen.

Mr. Guo said: “My anger is that after ten 999 calls, no one bothered to turn up and help. If I hadn’t seen men in time and shut the gate, there could have been a fatality.”

Lothian and Borders Police has been critised by the Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland.

“Five related police officers have taken the advice and responded to the restaurant owner.” said the spokesman from Lothian and Borders Police.
