Intended to forbid his wife from flying back to Britain, an immigration officer put her name on the terrorist-suspect-list. He was caught when his promotion inspect was conducted and inspectors found his wife was on the list.

The officer used to be working at the UK Border Agency Headquarter at the Lunar House in London. He used his access to the database to put his wife’s name on the list. So she would be banned to fly to UK because her presence in the country was ‘not conductive to the public good’.

His wife was on a visit to her family in Pakistan then found herself banned to board the airplane when the  airline and the immigration officials refused to explain the reason.

His tempering was undetected until he was selected to a promotion when his wife’s name came to the surface during a routine inquiry. The officer was later fired for his gross misconduct last month.
